Many of us are stepping up to indulge in culinary activities like cooking and baking to keep ourselves sane during the lockdown. While we are rewarded with scrumptious delicacies that we usually don’t have the time to prepare due to our busy lives, what is left behind is a disaster of a kitchen with dirty dishes and cookware. Now that we don’t have any house help, it seems like an endless task of cleaning on our own. But there are ways to avoid these issues. Dirty plates, worktops, elaborate and time-consuming meals, all can put a damper on your plans. Here are a few kitchen hacks that will help you save time and effort in the kitchen:

Puree the greens and freeze them

During the lockdown, you might end up buying a lot of greens to stock up your fridge. However, leafy greens are perishable, so before they become inedible, just puree and freeze them in ice cube trays. Spinach, kale or collards puree can be added in healthy morning smoothies.

Cooking has become a great activity to indulge in during the quarantine. Are you baking a delicious cake? To avoid the mess of flour and batter, just cover your countertop with a sheet so that after your work, you won’t need to clean the kitchen counters.
