Peter Morrell, Editor comments “I have tried the Freixenet Cordón Rosado and it’s an ideal sparkling wine for Valentine’s day. Made with a blend of the fruity Trepat and Garnacha grapes, on opening, the wine produces vigorous small bubbles that deliver a good mousse at the top of the glass.

There are strong cherry and strawberry aromas in the bouquet, and as it moves to the palate the fruit persists and is joined by bright citrus and raspberry flavours. The mass of bubbles create a very pleasant creamy texture and the well-balanced acidity gives it a dry freshness. The finish is long and fruity.”

Freixenet Prosecco

Whether it’s for yourself or a loved one, Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse for a luxurious treat, and nothing says luxury quite like the beautifully designed Freixenet Prosecco. Made from the finest Glera grapes in Italy’s Prosecco region of Veneto, this fizz has a golden straw hue, with lively effervescence and fresh aromas of citrus, apple and flowers, leaving a seductive sparkling wine with a light and fresh finish.
