Here’s Jimmy!
Tickets may be a tad difficult to come by, but tonight marks the second performance of Britain’s best-known comedian Jimmy Carr at Dubai World Trade Center. Big live shows are back in the UAE and they don’t come more high profile than this. Jimmy will have one final performance on Friday evening.

GoFood for Lebanon
The local restaurant community is rallying round to support relief efforts in Lebanon this weekend. GoFood, the newly launched home-grown delivery platform run by restaurant owners, will donate 100 per cent of all sales made on Friday to Emirates Red Crescent’s Lebanon initiative to help those affected by the crisis. Order from more than 2000 restaurants currently on the platform including Nando’s, She Burger, 800 Pizza, Café Bateel, Villa Beirut, Kulcha King, Logma, Calicut Paragon and Hatam, or try GoFood Grocery to help out.

Exhibition of hope

Turning to the history of past pandemics to make sense of the present, artist Zaahirah Muthy has harnessed her creativity in an attempt to calm the waters with the Glimmer Of Hope exhibition. Hosted by Alliance Française Dubai, this is her sixth solo show presenting 40 artworks documenting the fluctuations of emotions, contemplations, and psyche during the Covid period. It’s at the Oud Metha institution and is open to the public from the 15th.
