Ras Al Khaimah: Illegal stock of firecrackers and fireworks products seized in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. Eighteen and a half tons of firecrackers were seized. They were kept at a house in Ras Al Khaimah.
Firecrackers and pyrotechnic products kept for illegal sale were seized from the garden behind the house. On the basis of receiving confidential information, the police arrested the operator of the center during the inspection conducted at the spot. . The police seized 18.5 tons of firecrackers stored in 1038 boxes. These items were not kept safe at all.

The UAE Public Prosecution has warned that selling fireworks without a license is punishable by a fine of 100,000 dirhams and a jail term of not less than one year. Selling, importing, exporting and bringing fireworks from within or outside the country without a license is a punishable offence.
