Kuwait City: Kuwaiti customs busted a smuggling operation that revealed 4 million bags of tobacco were brought into the country from one of the Gulf states, local media reported.
The General Administration of Customs said in a statement that a 40-foot container carried 650,000 cartons containing 4 million bags of tobacco, which was imported illegally which is against the customs laws according to the Ministry of Commerce.

The administration added that the necessary customs procedure has been taken as the inspection and warehousing control is in coordination with the investigation department.
A warning was issued by the administration stating that those who smuggle in narcotic substances and prohibited goods will face legal charges and serious measures will be taken against them.
