The government of Bosnia and Herzegovina provides temporary facilities to Saudis by exempting them from entry visas during the summer, with the aim of enhancing tourism and cultural and economic relations between the two countries.
The new decision came into force Exempts citizens of the Kingdom Saudi Arabia to obtain an entry visa to Bosnia and Herzegovina Starting from this month, June, until the end of September 2024.
It is expected that this exemption will contribute to increasing the number of Saudi visitors to Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will contribute significantly to enhancing tourism and advancing the local economy in the two countries.
Saudis wishing to travel for tourism purposes are required to provide health insurance, a paid tourism program, and a return ticket, while business travelers need a notarized letter of invitation.

This exemption is considered a positive step towards strengthening cultural and economic relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It also shows Bosnia and Herzegovina’s commitment to enhancing economic and tourism cooperation, opening new horizons for Saudis to explore Bosnia’s rich heritage and multicultural history.
This decision was issued based on the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and was approved by the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was announced at the beginning of 2024, and aims to facilitate the visit of the Saudis and strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries.
In this context, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, based on the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issued a decision temporarily canceling the visa regime for citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the specified period.
Under this decision, citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are exempted from the obligation to obtain an entry and exit visa, transit and residence on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
