Seven cities have joined the “Millionaires Club” at Heathrow Airport, the most prominent of which are Abu Dhabi, Lisbon, Chicago, Mumbai, and Paris.
The UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, has joined the “Millionaires Club At Heathrow Airport in 2024, after it surpassed passenger traffic between London Airport, Zayed International Airport, one million passengers during the year until the end of last November.

Although Heathrow Airport has not disclosed passenger numbers at specific airports in the “Millionaires Club,” it has 23 members, led by New York’s JFK Airport, followed by Dubai International Airport.
By the end of the year, Heathrow expects the number of members of the “Millionaires Club” to rise to 25, according to The Mirror.
Heathrow Airport announced record numbers of passengers in November, with 6.5 million passengers travelling through the airport that month, an increase of 6.1% compared to November last year.
The holiday season is expected to be the busiest ever at the airport, with forecasts predicting a 21% increase in passenger traffic on Christmas Day alone, compared to last year.
7.7 million passengers from the Middle East
Between January and the end of November, 7.7 million passengers from destinations in the Middle East passed through Heathrow, the busiest airport in Europe, an increase of 6.4% on the same period in 2023.
“This year has been all about delivering high levels of service to record numbers of passengers at Heathrow, and November was no different,” said the airport’s chief executive, Thomas Woldby.
“As we celebrate the festive season, our focus remains on ensuring smooth and joyful journeys, whether that’s helping passengers travel to spend the Christmas holidays with their loved ones, or ensuring that shipments reach their destination on time. We aim to make this festive season magical for those travelling through Heathrow,” he added.
1.4 million tons of goods
In terms of cargo, Heathrow remains the UK’s largest port by value, with 1.4 million tonnes passing through between January and November this year, an 11% increase on the same period in 2023.
Heathrow Airport said the increase in total cargo figures was due to increased passenger aircraft capacity and increased market demand.
