Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Police have called upon delivery bike riders to avoid riding in volatile weather conditions.
The Directorate of Traffic and Security Patrols of Abu Dhabi Police has called on delivery bicycle drivers to commit to the need to stop transportation and delivery services during volatile weather conditions, reaffirming its interest in promoting awareness and early warning and ensure the safety of delivery motorcycle drivers.
General Mahmoud Youssef Al-Balouchi, Director of the Directorate of Traffic and Security Patrol, stressed the need to avoid riding motorcycles in volatile weather conditions, especially when it rains, pointing out that the motorcycle is designed to travel on dry roads, and is therefore unsafe when driven in rain as it could lead to slipping and accidents.

Even at other times, delivery bike riders are urged to adhere to traffic regulations, maintain safe distance, not use the phone while riding, wear personal protective equipment and ensure they have enough light on their motorcycles before they hit the road.
