Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi. Now the doors of the temple will be opened for devotees from March 1. Temple officials have given this information. Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) Swaminarayan Sanstha is constructed near Al Rahba on Abu Murikhah, Dubai-Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Highway. This temple is spread over 27 acres of land.
The doors of the temple will open for the public in March
The temple spokesperson said, “From March 1, the public will be able to visit the temple. The temple will be closed for tourists every Monday.” The sacred water of Ganga and Yamuna from India, pink sandstone from Rajasthan and wooden furniture have been used for UAE’s first Hindu temple, built with the help of about 18 lakh bricks.
According to the temple authorities, the temple has been constructed according to the ancient construction style. The UAE government had donated land for the construction of the temple. Swami Brahmaviharidas, head of international relations of BAPS, said, “There are idols of deities on the seven peaks of the temple, which include Lord Rama, Lord Shiva, Lord Jagannath, Lord Krishna, Lord Swaminarayan (believed to be an incarnation of Lord Krishna), Tirupati Balaji and Lord Shiva. Ayyappa is included.”
The temple was inaugurated by PM Modi.
Apart from Mahabharata and Ramayana, 15 other stories are also depicted in the temple. These stories include the Maya, Aztec, Egyptian, Arabic, European, Chinese and African civilizations. The outer walls of the temple are made of sandstone brought from India.
Let us tell you that this grand temple was inaugurated by PM Modi on 14 February. 5,000 people were invited to the inauguration ceremony. After this, foreign devotees who have registered in advance have been allowed to visit the temple from 15 to 29 February.
