All New Year’s Eve fireworks: From the Burj Khalifa to Yas Island and Marjan Island… Here’s where the skies light up
BURJ KHALIFA: This year the iconic Burj Khalifa will be hosting extravagant pyrotechnic shows and a water-music dance at The Dubai Fountain as well as fireworks. Emaar NYE 2021 will be a New Year’s Eve spectacle to remember, as the world’s tallest building provides the perfect backdrop to create one of the most iconic New Year’s Eve shows in the world.

ATLANTIS THE PALM: Every year, Atlantis The Palm hosts one of the city’s best firework displays, so make sure you don’t miss this one. Book one of their dining packages to enjoy unobstructed views of the firework displays at Atlantis The Palm. If you want something that’s easier on the pockets, then head down to the Pointe, where you can watch the Palm firework shows from a distance.
DUBAI FESTIVAL CITY: Dubai Festival City Mall will be offering revellers the opportunity to celebrate in the beautiful Creekside location. Customers must pre-book at selected restaurants to secure their seats, with two seating options available, a family-friendly option at 7pm to 9.30pm with the fireworks at 9pm and one at 10pm to 12.30am with the fireworks at 12am.
THE BEACH: Welcome 2021 as you watch spectacular New Year’s Eve Fireworks lighting up the skies of The Beach opposite JBR on December, 31 at 12am.
GLOBAL VILLAGE: Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Global Village, seven times over! December 31 will be a family night at the entertainment destination and will be hosting firework shows exactly as the clock strikes midnight in seven different countries including China (8pm), Thailand (9pm), Bangladesh (10pm), India (10.30pm), Pakistan (11pm), UAE (12am), and Russia (1am).
BURJ AL ARAB: Another iconic NYE spot is the Burj Al Arab for their annual fireworks. Madinat Jumeirah is a great vantage point for those looking for a fancy night out. Easier on the pockets is to find a spot at the beach.
BLUEWATERS ISLAND: A colourful fireworks display will delight New Year’s Eve visitors at Bluewaters, Dubai’s popular island destination and home to the iconic Ain Dubai. With its 360 views and cool instagrammable locations, Bluewaters is the place to be as the world rings in 2021. Revellers can enjoy the fireworks twice – at 12 midnight on 31 December and 8pm on 1 January.
AL SEEF: Enjoy a firework show in the heart of old Dubai. Head to the old heritage area of Al Seef and watch a bright display of fireworks on the water. Front row seats to the firework shows are only accessible if you dine at any of their waterfront restaurants.
LA MER: Beachfront destination La Mer is also ready with its own dazzling display of fireworks this NYE. Book yourself in at one of the many restaurants at the open-air venue.
AL MAJAZ AMPHITHEATER: This year, the Al Majaz Amphitheater in Sharjah will be hosting an epic fireworks show. Welcome, 2021 with a mega firework show. Advance booking is required in order to dine in front of the Sharjah Musical Fountain. All entrances will be closed, so access is only granted to those with dinner bookings.
SHEIKH ZAYED FESTIVAL: This New Year’s Eve Abu Dhabi is set to host a record-breaking firework show at Al Wathba. Residents and tourists can welcome the new year at the Sheikh Zayed Festival with a spectacular firework show spanning over 35 minutes long and breaking two Guinness World Records. The first record, is the length of the fireworks show, while the second record is the fact that this show will be the world’s first longest “Girandola” show, which is the Italian word for a spinning, flying, firework wheel. So you can expect it to look incredible in the night sky.
YAS MARINA: Yas Island, will light up in colour and festivities to mark the beginning of 2021 with firework celebrations that are due to kick off on the Island at 12:00 am on 31st December 2020. Residents of Abu Dhabi and the UAE will be able to enjoy the superlative fireworks show over Yas Island with a range of different viewing options available, including viewing fireworks from restaurants in Yas Marina.
ABU DHABI CORNICHE: Like every year, this Abu Dhabi seaside spot will host all access fireworks for the public to enjoy.

Al Maryah Island will also be featuring its popular annual New Year’s Eve celebrations organised by Mubadala Investment Company. Expect a spectacular firework show.
AL MARJAN ISLAND: Ras Al Khaimah will be welcoming New Year’s Eve Celebrations with a 10 minute long fireworks and pyrotechnic display stretching over a four-kilometre space. The event will showcase fireworks in various shapes and themes rising above the sea near Al Marjan Island, in tune with special musical arrangements for a total of 10 minutes to welcome the New Year. #RAKNYE2021 will be held without public activities or viewing areas to ensure the safety of the public while adhering to social distancing protocols.
