The amnesty announced for illegal residents in Kuwait has started today. The decision regarding this was announced by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al Youssef Al Sabah. The amnesty period is from March 17 to June 17.

During the amnesty period, illegal residents can leave the country without penalty or punishment. Later they can return to the country on another visa.
