Combating coronavirus: 1,030 outlets inspected in Dubai, 100% compliance

Dubai witnessed a 100 per cent compliance rate by commercial outlets during the daily inspections carried out on Wednesday.

Dubai Economy inspected 1,030 outlets on Wednesday and found all of them compliant with precautionary measures. No outlet was shut down or issued a fine or warning on Wednesday, it said in a tweet on Thursday.

As a result of increased inspection after the reopening of the economy, the compliance rate by the commercial outlets has been staying very high in the emirate.

The daily inspections start with the market opening time in the morning and last till the markets closed. Dubai Economy has directed traders to comply with the Covid-19 precautionary measures, such as wearing face masks and gloves and ensuring social distancing.

Dubai Economy also called on consumers to report any non-compliance to the Covid-19 precautionary guidelines via the Dubai Consumer App available on Apple, Google, and Huawei stores, by calling 600545555, or on the Consumerrights.ae website.

Earlier, it announced 10am to 10pm timings for shopping malls during weekdays and up to 12pm over the weekend.
