PIA will operate 4 special flights on Sunday and 6 flights on Monday to repatriate over 2,000 passengers from Dubai.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will repatriate over 2,000 stranded Pakistani nationals to five cities in the country during next week, Khaleej Times has learnt.
Impeccable aviation sources said PIA will operate 11 special flights to Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan, starting today. (Special PIA flight to repatriate stranded Pakistanis today)
“First special PIA flight PK224 is schedule to depart to Faisalabad with approximate 200 Pakistanis on Saturday and it is followed by 10 more flights by Monday,” the sources said.
Elaborating, the sources said PIA will operate 4 special flights on Sunday and 6 flights on Monday to repatriate over 2,000 passengers from Dubai.
“On Sunday, flights will depart to Islamabad, Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad from Dubai while next day two flights are scheduled to Multan and 4 are expected to land in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad,” the sources said.
Currently,40,000 people have registered with Pakistan Consulate in Dubai for repatriation. It includes over 10,000 overseas Pakistanis who have been rendered jobless due to coronavirus outbreak.
“All 40,000 stranded Pakistani nationals in the UAE will be repatriated in maximum next six weeks,” aviation sources told Khaleej Times on Friday.
Last month, PIA operated 3 special flights to Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore. Two special flydubai flights also repatriated around 400 prisoners from Dubai to Faisalabad and Peshawar on Tuesday.
