UAE reported 513 new cases after 44,000 more tests were conducted
Parts of Beijing were placed under lockdown on Saturday as six new domestic coronavirus cases were reported, fuelling fears of a resurgence in local transmission.
UAE reported 513 more cases of coronavirus on Friday after 44,000 tests were conducted. Recoveries continue to outpace new infections, with the Ministry of Health and Prevention confirming that a further 712 people had overcome the disease.
Globally, coronavirus cases was at 7.5 million on Saturday morning, with 3.5 million recoveries and more than 423,000 deaths.
