UAE completes 2 million Covid-19 tests

The pandemic has forced a new reality for contact and communication upon us. There is a need to invest our time in new habits that could strengthen the family ties.

The number of Covid-19 tests conducted across the country has crossed two million, a health official has confirmed.

On Monday, during the virtual Press briefing, AbdulRahman Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, said that over 2.04 million tests have been conducted in the UAE so far. The minister appreciated the tireless efforts of dedicated medical teams in conducting such a large number of tests in the country.

Dr Amna Al Dahhak Al Shamsi, an official spokesperson of the Government, said that 41,202 new tests were conducted recently, detecting 822 new coronavirus cases.

She further said, the total number of cases in the country has now reached 30,307. She also added that there are 601 new recoveries bringing the total recoveries to 15,657. With three new deaths, the total number of deaths stands at 248.
