Integrated Transport Centre in Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority sign agreement to start bus services

An agreement has been signed to launch bus services between Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah.

The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) in Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority have signed a memorandum of understanding to launch the services.

The agreement is a step towards the integration of services in the UAE to offer bus passengers journeys between emirates at a reasonable cost, a statement said.

According to the MoU, bus services will operate between Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with two journeys on each of the days in each direction.

Fares will range from AED35-45.

“The agreement between both entities comes in part of the continuous efforts to develop the public bus transport infrastructure and develop the quality of the services offered. It also unifies the efforts dedicated to develop the strategic plans and regulate this sector,” said Maktoum Al Kaabi, executive director of the Technology and Transport Systems Sector at the ITC.
