Yacht crew members can now apply for a multiple-entry visa to Dubai, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) announced on Saturday, February 22.
The new multiple-entry visa will be for six months, the GDRFA said on the sidelines of the Dubai International Boat Show 2025.
The show, which set sail on February 19 at the Dubai Harbour, will run until February 23. Now in its 31st edition, the annual event has rapidly transformed from a modest gathering focused on the local maritime industry to one of the Middle East’s most prestigious and highly-anticipated boat shows on the global stage.
At the show, the GDRFA is showcasing a range of specialised services specifically for the yachting sector and the maritime community. These include the Mobile Marina, the Work Bundle, Platform 04 and the Dubai Residency Community Network.
In December last year, another initiative was launched in Abu Dhabi to offer Golden Visa to superyacht owners in the Capital. Designed to attract high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) to Abu Dhabi, this programme unlocks exclusive benefits, including luxury lifestyle experiences, business opportunities, and long-term residency for your family.
The UAE Golden Visa scheme, unlike others, grants multiple benefits like allowing one to be outside the country for more than six months and a decade-long renewal period. Click here for a complete guide on the long-term residency plan.
