Dubai Electricity and Water Authority participates in GITEX Global 2024 to showcase its latest digital initiatives and contribute to achieving Dubai’s sustainable goals.

Electricity Authority announced And Dubai Water, Today, Friday, about her participation inThe 44th session of the exhibition GITEX Global, the world’s largest technology and startup event, takes place from 14-18 October 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The Authority’s participation focuses on showcasing its innovative digital initiatives and services that aim to accelerate digital transformation and consolidate its global position, according to a statement issued by it.

Supporting the wise leadership to enhance Dubai’s position

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), praised the continuous support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in making GITEX Global a global platform that brings together hundreds of thousands of participants and technology pioneers from inside and outside the UAE.

Al Tayer stressed that this event enhances Dubai’s position as a pivotal centre for the future technology industry and contributes to advancing the march of technological progress around the world.

Authority’s initiatives towards sustainability and carbon neutrality

Al Tayer added: “We regularly participate in this global event with the aim of highlighting our advanced digital infrastructure and the innovative and secure services we provide, which rely heavily on the latest artificial intelligence technologies.”

He added that this participation aims to enhance the quality of life and happiness of those concerned, as well as support the process of sustainability and carbon neutrality.

We are also working to consolidate Dubai’s position as a global centre for manufacturing and designing the future, and to apply the best digital business models to achieve Dubai’s goal of being among the top 10 digital economies in the world according to the Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’.”
