The tour focused on highlighting the role of the free zone and the advanced infrastructure provided by the center, which enables Indian companies to expand globally and take advantage of the available opportunities.
Non-oil trade exchange between the UAE and India witnessed remarkable growth, reaching $85 billion, driven by the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement that entered into force last year. This growth resulted in an increase in the number of Indian companies registered in the center to 3,888 companies, representing 16% of the total companies registered in the center.

In this context, Ahmed bin Sulayem, CEO and Executive Director of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, stressed the importance of the trade corridor between the UAE and India in promoting regional trade and investment, and creating new trade opportunities. He pointed out that the center is committed to strengthening this relationship and providing an ideal environment for Indian companies to launch into global markets from Dubai.
The promotional tour included dialogues between DMCC officials, representatives of Indian government bodies, and business leaders, which discussed the advantages of the business environment in the emirate and its role as a gateway to international trade, in addition to the services the center provides to companies wishing to establish their businesses in the free zone.
Dubai pays great attention to India and the South Asia region in general, especially in promising sectors such as technology, gems, precious metals, and agriculture. The Center has concluded several partnership agreements with companies from South Asia, including an important agreement with the Bharat Subcontinent Agri Corporation to promote the growth of the global agricultural commodities sector.
During the tour, the Center also announced the opening of a representative office in Mumbai, with the aim of promoting international expansion and providing support to Indian companies in their local market.
