Dubai Police Launches Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Council

Dubai Police has announced the formation of the ‘Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Council’ to enhance digital capabilities and boost global competitiveness within the force.

The council will be led by Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, and chaired by Major General Khaled Nasser Al Razooqi, Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence, with Brigadier Turki Abdul Rahman Bin Fares as Deputy Chairperson.

This initiative aligns with Dubai’s Digital Strategy, aimed at digitizing daily life and fostering a robust digital economy. Major General Al Razooqi emphasized the council’s commitment to strengthening digital transformation efforts, enhancing ‘digital maturity’ within the police, and increasing the integration of artificial intelligence in operations.

The council’s objectives include improving public safety, creating a secure digital community, and building a police force equipped with advanced cybersecurity capabilities. Al Razooqi highlighted the importance of connected and self-responsive policing, utilizing global analytics in digital technology to anticipate and respond effectively to incidents.

Additionally, the council will focus on developing a new generation of programmers, enhancing their technical skills, and leveraging the latest technologies to streamline police operations. Al Razooqi reaffirmed Dubai Police’s dedication to becoming a leader in advanced digital policing, ensuring top-quality services for citizens, residents, and visitors through smart police stations and mobile applications.

Al Razooqi concluded, reflecting the council’s role in Dubai Police’s ongoing commitment to modernization and community engagement.
