Dubai signs agreement to launch Dubai Loop project with Musk subsidiary

The Dubai Government Media Office announced thatSigning an agreement to launch the Dubai Loop projectWith Elon Musk’s Boring InfrastructureMask.

In a statement, the office said that the Crown Prince of the Emirate, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, witnessed today, Friday, the signing of an agreement to launch the “Dubai Loop” project, which represents a qualitative shift in future means of transportation in the emirate.

The project, which will be implemented in partnership between Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and The Boring Company, owned by the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, aims to provide a fast underground means of transportation, covering the most congested areas in Dubai.

Dubai Loop Project Details

The office explained the details of the project, saying that it provides an advanced transportation system that relies on fast underground tunnels to reduce congestion and improve movement within the city. The total distance of the project is scheduled to be about 17 kilometers, and the number of stations in the project will reach 11 main stations.

The statement said that the project’s capacity will reach more than 20,000 passengers per hour, while the future transportation capacity will reach more than 100,000 passengers per hour.

The statement indicated that the operational speed of the “Dubai Loop” project will reach 160 kilometers per hour.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed stressed that the project reflects Dubai’s ambitious vision under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to adopt innovative and sustainable transportation solutions that enhance Dubai’s global position in the smart transportation sector.

The Dubai Loop project comes within an integrated strategy that aims to reduce traffic congestion, achieve the highest standards of sustainability, and enhance the smart mobility experience, ensuring a more advanced and efficient urban future.
