Emirati man dies of stroke, donates organs to save four lives

His heart, liver and two kidneys were donated to patients in Saudi Arabia.

An Emirati man, who decided to donate his organs as he was dying, has given a new lease of life to four people in Saudi Arabia, Arabic daily Al Ittihad reported on Wednesday.

The 41-year-old Emirati man died of a stroke because of a road accident. However, before dying, he expressed his wish to donate his organs. The doctors conducted three surgeries that lasted six hours so that the deceased’s heart, liver, and two kidneys could be donated.

The medical team shipped the organs in a special medical plane to the Kingdom, where they saved the lives of four people who were suffering from serious diseases.
