Etihad Airways saw strong revenue growth, rising 21% to AED 11.7 billion in the first half.

Etihad Airways has achieved a qualitative leap in Its profits during the first half From 2024, it recorded net profits of AED 851 million ($232 million), a remarkable growth of 48% compared to Last year.

The company witnessed strong growth in its revenues, which increased by 21% to reach AED 11.7 billion in the first half of this year, driven mainly by an increase in travel demand resulting from the expansion of its network of destinations and the increase in the number of flights.

Cargo revenues increased by 10% compared to last year, thanks to higher demand and increased cargo capacity in the fleet.

The company showed growth in the number of passengers, transporting about 8.7 million passengers during the first half, an increase that exceeds the average growth of the aviation sector in the Middle East by three times.

Antonoaldo Neves, Group Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Aviation Group, said: “Despite the global challenges in aircraft delivery, we have successfully expanded our fleet with the addition of 16 new aircraft, bringing our total fleet to 92 aircraft, including three state-of-the-art A321Neo aircraft.
