Expired residence visas: Deadline to leave the UAE extended to November 17

GDRFA extends visa validity for stranded Dubai residents

An additional three-month grace period announced by authorities for exit without ban

Expired residence visa holders would have up to November 17 to exit the UAE

The grace period extension runs from August 18 to November 17 and includes all violators with visas expired before March 1.

Those exiting the UAE will not be banned from entering the country.

This deadline and provision is only for those leaving the UAE.

Expired visit visa - The deadline was extended for one month from August 11, 2020.

Step 1: Obtain your passport or outpass. Step 2: Buy your one-way ticket out of the UAE. Step 3: Arrive at the airport well in advance on your date of departure.

If you are leaving from Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah airports, you must arrive at the airport six hours before the flight.

If you are leaving from Dubai Airport, you must visit the deportation centre at the Civil Aviation Security Centre near Terminal 2, 48 hours before your flight.

The deportation centre is located right before Terminal 2, Dubai International Airport.

At the centre, you will need to speak with the immigration officer, who will do an eye and fingerprint scan.
