A statement Saudi Central Bank SAMA announced signing an agreement with Google to launch Google Pay in the Kingdom via the national payment system “Mada” in 2025.

Users will be able to make advanced and secure payments and purchases in stores, through applications and the Internet using the Google Pay payment service, in addition to the ability to add and manage Mada cards and digital credit cards easily and securely through the Google Wallet application.

Google Pay activation date in Saudi Arabia
The Saudi Central Bank announced that the Google Pay payment service will be activated in the Kingdom in 2025, where everyone will be able to use the service to pay through various websites.
The exact date will be announced later.
Last November, e-commerce sales via Mada cards in Saudi Arabia jumped to 17.442 billion riyals, compared to 13.479 billion riyals in the same month of 2023, through the implementation of 98.778 million transactions, according to the statistical bulletin issued by the Saudi Central Bank for November 2024.
