The National Platform for Charitable Work, or Ehsan, is going to carry out this project. King Salman’s decision is intended to promote charity giving, particularly during Ramadan. Donations may be made constantly until the end of the campaign, which is planned to run the entire length of the holy month.
The initiative underscores the enduring commitment of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to promoting charitable endeavors, a cornerstone of Islamic Shariah principles. It seeks to offer avenues for all citizens to engage in acts of charity and foster community cohesion during the sacred month of Ramadan, known for its multiplied rewards for benevolent deeds.

Since the platform was established by royal decree, the King and the Crown Prince have provided unwavering support, according to Dr. Majed Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce and head of the Ehsan Platform’s Supervisory Committee. As a continuation of the success of past campaigns, such as the 2023 campaign, which raised more than SR760 million ($202,626,191.60) in donations, he emphasized the upcoming National Campaign for Charitable Work. Approximately 10.4 million donation transactions have occurred as a result of these contributions, positively affecting approximately 398,000 individuals. On the 27th night of Ramadan last year, the campaign not only demonstrated incredible community cooperation but also set a Guinness World Record for the greatest single-day gift within a 24-hour period.
Throughout the campaign, donors are invited to make digital contributions to a range of humanitarian and developmental projects. Furthermore, contributions may be sent to the Ehsan Endowment Fund. All transactions are handled securely via the Ehsan app, the Ehsan.sa website, or by calling the 8001247000 unified number.
13 government agencies make up the supervisory council that oversees the Ehsan platform, which was established by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). This strong governance structure is in line with national initiatives to strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a leader in philanthropic giving and digitally empower the nonprofit sector. The site has benefited approximately 4.8 million people from various qualified categories since it launched, having raised over SR 5 billion ($1,338,287,450) in donations.
