The Ministry confirmed that it will not allow any artistic work that offends Kuwaiti society to participate in artistic works filmed inside Kuwait or theatrical performances shown in the country.

He also decided not to authorize any theatrical work that includes in its work team one of the artists or writers involved in the offensive work, as the Ministry described it through the Assistant Undersecretary for Press, Publications and Publications in charge at the Ministry of Information, through a statement to Kuwait News Agency, Lafi Al-Subaie, who stressed the importance of applying laws, systems and regulations fairly and without discrimination.
He stressed that the Ministry’s role is to preserve the values and traditions of Kuwaiti society and highlight its true image, and that it works with all professionalism and effort to preserve public taste and raise the level of the artistic scene.

Al-Subaie also issued a call to makers of artistic works inside and outside Kuwait to respect the values and principles of Kuwaiti society, and not to include in their works any form of insult to Kuwait and its people, stressing the importance of presenting artistic messages that carry value and advance human, moral and social values.
It is noteworthy that the series “One Wife is Not Enough,” which was shown as part of the Ramadan 2024 marathon, sparked widespread controversy and anger in the Kuwaiti street as soon as its first episode was shown, due to the topics it addressed that some considered offensive to society.
