Kuwait City: Strict inspection to detect traffic violations in Kuwait. The traffic department said that 26,778 violations were detected within a week. An average of 3,825 violations were detected per day. A total of 3,925 accidents were handled during this period. 263 people were injured.
The inspection campaigns were conducted under the supervision of the Director General of the General Traffic Department, Brigadier General Jamal Al Foudari, based on the instructions of Major General Yousef Al Khadda, Assistant Undersecretary, Traffic and Operations Sector, Ministry of Interior.

188 vehicles and motorcycles have been seized and 32 people have been detained by the traffic police after the violation was found during the inspection. 63 vehicles used to commit crimes were seized. Four persons were handed over to the Drug Control General Department. One person was turned over to the Firearm Possession Investigation Unit and several juveniles were turned over to Juvenile Prosecution, authorities said.
