An Arab man was arrested in Dubai after he allegedly stole an iPhone at knife-point. According to Dubai Public Prosecution documents, the incident happened on November 3, 2020.
The defendant had struck a deal to buy the iPhone for Dh1,700 from a seller on Facebook. He asked the seller to deliver the phone to a place in Hor Al Anz.
Two men delivered the phone to him. As he checked it, he allegedly pulled out a knife and fled with the phone. Dubai PRO referred to court over alleged embezzlement at public entity
The men who delivered the phone called the police. They identified the defendant from a photo on Facebook, after which the police arrested him.
