This amendment comes as a result of the recent change of the name of the Dubai Energy Exchange to the Gulf Energy Exchange.
Dubai Financial Market witnessed a new development by changing its name Oman Oil Contracts Future from “Micro DME” to “Micro GME”, This move will reflect recent changes in the energy exchange.

The market said in a circular today that this amendment came as a result of the recent change of the name of the Dubai Energy Exchange to the Gulf Energy Exchange.
The market also announced a plan to issue a new list of Omani crude oil futures contracts bearing the new name, to ensure that the change is fully reflected in all documents and systems related to these contracts. These changes will be implemented starting next Monday, September 23.
