Saudi: According to a Saudi news report, Saudi authorities have urged migrants to record fingerprints of their family members i.e. fingerprints for security and residence reasons.
News portal Ajel reported that the Saudi General Directorate for Passports mentioned that fingerprinting is required for foreign residents aged six years or older.
The agency told the expatriates, “Registering the bio-facilities is an essential step to complete the processes related to your family members for six years and beyond.”
Migrants make up about 10.5 million of Saudi Arabia’s total population of 34.8 million.
