Five expatriates arrested for stealing electric cables in South Bathina, Oman. A press release issued by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) informs that five Asian expatriates have been arrested for stealing electrical cables from work sites.

The thefts were from construction sites controlled by an electricity distribution company in Oman’s southern Al Batinah governorate. Electrical cables and wires installed here were stolen.

The Royal Oman Police explained that the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation, which investigated the incident, arrested five expatriates from Asian countries. The Royal Oman Police has also informed that legal proceedings have been completed against the five arrested persons. At the same time, the authorities have not released the information about the nationality of the arrested expatriates.
