Riyadh: Rain and hail continue in some parts of Saudi Arabia. Widespread rain and hailstorm occurred in various parts of the southern part of Asir region last day. The mountains and agricultural area of Balhamar, Behan and Balasmar north of Abaha city appeared to be covered with a white coat as a result of the hailstorm. Most of the highlands received fairly heavy rainfall. Heavy rains along with heavy hail are continuing in different parts of Azir region.
The variation of the tropical convergence zone and the spread of monsoon winds have changed the topography of the region. The hilly areas of Azir witnessed heavy hailstorm along with the rain. In any case, the local residents are celebrating the rain and hail and the colorful views of nature.

When the desert, the plants and the valleys are warm in white, the scenes of going to the snow-covered hilly areas and enjoying the scenery, taking ‘selfies’ and having fun are making waves on the social media.
Arab youths have been sharing beautiful images of hailstorms, water bodies forming in the desert due to rain, temporary streams created by rain and beautiful green valley views on social media. The National Meteorological Center has warned that there is a possibility of rain, hail and strong winds in some parts of Asir region in the coming days.
