Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud issued a royal order on Thursday regulating the convening of…Saudi CabinetIn the event that the King, the Chairman of the Council (the Saudi Crown Prince), or any of his deputies are not present, the meeting will be chaired by the eldest of the present Council members from the sons of the founder, King Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Details of the Royal Decree on the Saudi Cabinet

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, issued,Royal order Based on what he presented Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Crown Prince, Prime Minister.. Its text is as follows:

We, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

We have ordered the following:

First: The scheduled meeting of the Council of Ministers – if we do not attend it and the President of the Council or any of his deputies do not attend it – shall be chaired by the eldest of the Council members present from the sons of the founding King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Faisal Al Saud, even if they are descended, as an exception to the provisions of Article (7) of the Council of Ministers System issued by Royal Order No.

(A/13) dated 3/3/1414 AH regarding the presidency of the Council of Ministers meetings, and the decisions issued in that meeting shall be signed by the President of the Council.
Second: This order of ours shall be communicated to the competent authorities for approval and implementation.”

The royal order did not reveal further details.
