Abha International Airport launched an awareness campaign for travelers about the concept of the “Silent Airport,” by installing multilingual information signs and electronic notices for clarification, with the aim of providing a quiet travel experience.

Management announced Abha International Airport An innovative decision was made to transform the airport into what is known as a “silent airport,” to keep pace with the best global practices applied in the field of air travel.

According to the statement issued by Airport management This practice is based on the best international practices that are applied in many internationally known international airports, such as Changi International Airport, Zurich International Airport, Dubai International Airport, and others.

The statement explained that the goal of this initiative is to transform the travel experience at Abha International Airport into “the future of travel free of stress and noise,” as voice announcements will be dispensed with while passengers are boarding.

The main pillars for achieving this goal include accurate information on flight displays, displaying flight information on escalation gates before they open, in addition to a comprehensive information campaign that includes multilingual information boards and electronic notices.

It is also planned to install a voice call system during the coming months, which will only be used in emergency situations such as cancellation or delay of flights, while the administration will work to encourage travelers to be ready to travel through “Abha International Airport”, through the airlines’ communication means and following the flight information display screens. To ensure an enjoyable trip free of stress and noise.
