Saleh Al-Jasser confirms the opening date of the Riyadh Metro, on the sidelines of the opening of the “Maersk” logistics zone in the Jeddah Islamic Port.

The Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics revealed that the Kingdom now has 22 logistics zones, out of 59 targeted logistics zones by 2030, noting that there are a number of logistics zones under construction, in partnership with leading international companies, such as Maersk International, DP World, and others, as well as some national companies active in the logistics sector.

Al-Jasser added that foreign investment flows into Saudi logistics zones currently exceeded 10 billion riyals.

Al-Jasser added that the Saudi ports sector is witnessing major and unprecedented leaps to raise the efficiency of operational performance and contribute to achieving record numbers in international indicators, noting that the logistics sector in Saudi ports has become an attractive platform for global companies and has provided more than 10,000 direct and indirect job opportunities in the logistics sector, enhancing Saudi Arabia’s position as a global logistics center.
