Saudi Arabia completes its bid to host the 2034 World Cup

The bid book will be presented to FIFA in Paris by a delegation headed by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz.

Saudi Arabia’s file to host the tournament was obtained2034 FIFA World CupWith the official approval of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, after completing the detailed requirements of the file.

The bid book will be presented to FIFA in Paris by a delegation headed by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and Yasser Al-Misehal, President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal stressed that this support provided by the Saudi leadership contributed to making the Kingdom a global sports center during a period of great growth and transformation.

He added: “We are committed to hosting an exceptional World Cup, with the participation of 48 teams in one country for the first time.”

“The supervision of Saudi Arabia’s bid by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reflects his commitment to advancing Saudi sport in line with Vision 2030 and nurturing athletes who are able to compete at the highest level,” said Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal. “We aim to showcase the transformation of our country, its vibrant youth and its ability to host major sporting events.”

According to the Saudi Press Agency”SPA”The official tender book presentation ceremony will be held in Paris.

The delegation, led by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation Yasser Al-Misehal, will include two children from the Saudi Arabian Football Federation’s regional youth training centres, symbolising the ambition of the young Saudi generation to host the world’s premier football event.

The 2034 FIFA World Cup bid journey began on October 4, 2023, when Saudi Arabia announced its intention to bid.

This was followed by the submission of the official letter of intent to FIFA and the unveiling of the bid’s brand identity under the slogan “Growing Together”. The bid period will close in December when FIFA will announce the host country for the 2034 World Cup at its General Assembly.
