In a massive security campaign that lasted a whole week, The security forces were able to achieve remarkable results. In combating violations. Starting from 10/10/2024 to 16/10/2024, the operations covered all regions of the Kingdom, and resulted in the arrest of a large number of Violators of residence and work regulations.
The competent authorities were able to arrest (21971) violators of the residency, labor and border security laws. In detail, the number of violators of the residency system reached (13186) violators, while the number of violators of the border security system reached (5427) violators, and the number of violators of the labor system reached (3358) violators.
The authorities were able to thwart attempts by (1421) people to infiltrate the Kingdom illegally. It was found that the majority of these infiltrators were of Yemeni nationality at (34%), followed by Ethiopian nationality at (64%), while other nationalities constituted (2%). In addition, (53) people were arrested while trying to leave the Kingdom illegally.
(18) people involved in transporting, sheltering, employing and covering up for violators of residency, work and border security regulations were arrested.
Currently, (15,775) illegal expatriates are subject to strict legal procedures, with men representing (13,885) of this number, while women represent (1,890) individuals.
(8370) violators were referred to their country’s embassies to obtain travel documents enabling them to leave, while (2054) others were referred to complete their travel procedures. In addition, (12355) violators were deported permanently.
The Ministry of Interior warned against facilitating the entry, transfer or harboring of border security violators, stressing that perpetrators of these crimes will face severe penalties of up to 15 years in prison, a fine of one million riyals, confiscation of their property, and defamation. The ministry stressed that these crimes are considered serious and violate honor and trust, calling on everyone to report any suspicious cases through the designated numbers.
