Over 90,000 Saudi Arabian mosques to reopen Sunday

All mosques, except those in Makkah, will reopen after an intensive cleaning and maintenance drive to contain the spread of Coronavirus.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance and its staff members are preparing to start maintenance, and sanitisation of more than 90,000 mosques across the Kingdom, which the government will reopen on Sunday except the mosques in Makkah.

Since the closure of more than two months, the reopening of mosques will be undertaken in accordance with the guidance set by the government.

The ministry has started a strong media campaign to urge all people going to mosques to follow all safety measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
