Aramco’s official selling prices for LPG are used as a reference for contracts to supply the product from the Middle East to the Asia-Pacific region.

Traders said that my company Aramco Saudi Arabia Algeria’s Sona trach raised official selling prices for most LPG products for August compared to July due to increased demand.

Saudi Aramco raised the official selling price (OSP) for propane for August by $10 to $590 a tonne, while raising the OSP for butane by $5 to $570 a tonne. Propane and butane are two types of liquefied petroleum gas.

LPG is mainly used as a fuel for vehicles, heating, and as a feedstock for other petrochemicals.

Sonatrach raised the official selling price for August for propane by $5 per tonne to $555, while keeping the official price for butane at $500 per tonne.

Aramco’s LPG official selling prices are used as a benchmark for supply contracts from the Middle East to the Asia-Pacific region, while Sonatrach’s LPG official selling prices are used as a benchmark for the Mediterranean, Black Sea and Turkey.
