Riyadh: The Saudi General Directorate of Public Security has warned citizens and residents against fake Hajj advertisements circulating on social media. These advertisements falsely claim to provide various services related to Hajj.

The directorate said that such fraudsters will be given severe punishment. Authorities asked citizens and residents to follow official Hajj guidelines and regulations. Authorities also urged the public to report suspicious activity or law violations by contacting (911) in Makkah, Riyadh and the Eastern Region or (999) in all other areas across the country.
