Total bank credit in Saudi Arabia increased by 1%, by 27 billion riyals, to 2,648 trillion riyals in February, compared to 2,621 trillion riyals in January.

Saudi banks increased their foreign investments by 4.1%, by 6.23 billion riyals, from 151.46 billion riyals at the end of 2023 to 157.69 billion riyals at the end of February, according to an analysis of “Arabian Business” data. Monthly bulletin issued by the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia (SAMA).

On a monthly basis, Saudi banks increased their foreign investments by 2.6%, to 3.98 billion riyals, from 153.71 billion riyals in January to 157.69 billion riyals at the end of February.

Total bank credit in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia increased by 1%, by 27 billion riyals, to 2,648 trillion riyals in February, compared to 2,621 trillion riyals in January.

Bank credit terms were distributed as follows:

  • Long term: 1.281 trillion riyals.
  • Medium term: 401.9 million riyals.
  • Short term: 964.7 million riyals.
