Saudi Stock Exchange announced that the holiday Foundation Day will be on Sunday, February 23rd.2025, corresponding to Shaaban 24, 1446 AH, and trading will resume after the holiday on Monday, February 24, 2025, corresponding to Shaaban 251446 AH.
Founding Day falls on February 22 of each year, as the Kingdom has adopted this day as a national occasion under the name “Founding Day”, to commemorate the establishment of the first Saudi state.
The roots of this occasion go back to the year 1727, when Imam Muhammad bin Saud founded the first Saudi state, amidst major challenges that included economic and social crises and insecurity, to mark the beginning of a new phase of unity and stability.
