Select UAE residents can now file complaints with police from home

Police services will now be accessible through smart devices, applications.

A special service that allows people of determination to file complaints or criminal reports with police from their homes through smart devices and applications after calling 999, has been introduced in the Capital.

Abu Dhabi Police said it has launched the new reporting service, under the slogan “We Care for You”, to ease life and increase customer happiness for the people of determination by providing them access to police services from their homes.

The service launched this week by Major General Maktoum Ali Al Sharifi, director general of Abu Dhabi Police is as an inspiration from the great objectives of the police leadership in providing and caring for the people of determination.

With the new service, police stations are facilitating home-filing of complaints and criminal reports for the people of determination, through smart devices and applications, and high-quality services,” said Brigadier Mohammed Suhail Al Rashdi, director, Abu Dhabi Police’s Criminal Security Sector adding that launching the service was aimed at sparing them from visiting police stations to file criminal reports as well as increasing customer satisfaction through quick and easy reporting of emergencies.

The “We Care for You” service is provided through the toll-free number (999) of the Abu Dhabi Police Command and Control Centre. After receiving a call from people of determination, police patrols will immediately respond and then head to the location of the caller to file their complaint or criminal reports using smart services in accordance with the regulations.

Only people of determination can benefit from the new service, according to police.
