Sheikh Hamdan told a Red Crescent delegation on Monday that the reinforcements were in line with President Sheikh Mohamed’s instructions to provide immediate assistance to displaced people in Sudan to improve their living conditions and ease their plight. to provide relief to the people
Mohamed Al Kaabi, the head of the Red Crescent delegation in Sudan, briefed Sheikh Hamdan about the relief work being carried out to assist the affected people in the African country and mitigating the consequences of the disaster. So that there is minimum damage due to flood and people can be saved safely.
Heavy rain and rising water levels have been forecast in the Blue and White Nile rivers over the next few days.
The UAE is operating an air bridge under the supervision of the Red Crescent Authority to transport large amounts of aid, which will be given to more than 140,000 affected people in several provinces. so that their needs can be met.
The shipment includes 15 tons of food items such as rice, flour and sugar, as well as 15 tons of medical supplies and about 10,000 tents.
