Millions unable to take the most basic social distancing and hand-washing precautions
As the Covid-19 swept throughout the globe, Latin America’s slum dwellers waited totally vulnerable in its path. Now, with the vicinity becoming the new epicenter of the crisis, the virus is unleashing destruction on its most vulnerable populations.
A little space and with confined sanitation, millions of people living very close together in slums cannot take even the most basic social distancing and hand-washing precautions recommended by health authorities.
