KUWAIT CITY: The General Traffic Department (GTD) of the Ministry of Interior announced that 1,620 traffic accidents were handled in Kuwait during the week. This is the figure from March 23 to 29. This includes 293 serious accidents and 1,409 minor accidents in which no one was injured.
Meanwhile, 21,858 violations were found during the inspection campaigns conducted by the traffic department to find violators. 23 minors were arrested for driving without a license. The traffic police detained 48 people for committing serious traffic violations.

130 vehicles and 25 motorcycles have been seized. Eight people have been arrested on warrants issued under the law. Eight hawkers, one with abnormal mental condition and three involved in civil cases have also been arrested.
