Regarding Hajj pilgrimage 2026, it has been clarified by the Saudi government that children below the age of 12 years will not be allowed to participate in Hajj 2026. This rule has been implemented keeping in mind the safety of children. It is very hot and there is a huge crowd during the Hajj pilgrimage.
In fact, the heat level at the pilgrimage sites sometimes reaches 58 degrees Celsius, which can prove to be very dangerous for small children. An official informed that in the past years, incidents of deterioration in health and casualties of some children have come to the fore. In view of these incidents, the Saudi government has taken this tough but necessary decision. Let us tell you that last year also, permission for children below 12 years of age was banned during the Haj pilgrimage. This decision will remain in place this year as well.

The Haj Committee of India has started the application process for Haj 2026. Interested travelers can apply from July 7 to July 31, 2025 through the official website hajcommittee.gov.in or Haj Suvidha mobile app. At the same time, the Haj Committee also advises applicants to carefully consider their preparations before applying. Except in the case of death or serious medical emergency, cancellation of travel may result in fines and financial loss.
