UAE government has announced the Dates of Eid Al Fitr holidays for Employees and Schools

Dubai : The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced this year’s Eid al Fitr holidays. Giving information about the holidays to be given to government employees, the UAE government has said that if the month of Ramadan is of 30 days, then one day’s holiday will be given extra. A large number of Indians work in the United Arab Emirates. In such a situation, Indians can plan to come home on Eid holidays. The UAE government has made it easier for those employees who want to return home during this time by announcing a long Eid holiday about two weeks ago.

According to a report by Time Out Dubai, if Ramadan is of 29 days, then Eid holiday will be from Sunday 30 March to Tuesday 1 April 2025. If Ramadan is of 30 days, then there will be a holiday on the 30th Ramadan as well. The day of Eid will depend on the sighting of the moon. The moon sighting committee in the UAE will hold a meeting on March 28 for this. However, preparations for Eid al Fitr have already begun in Dubai.

Employees can make their own plans

The UAE Government’s Department of Human Resources (FAHR) has said in its statement that Eid-ul-Fitr holiday for the government sector will be from 1 to 3 Shawwal. This is special for those Indians working in the UAE who are planning to travel or come to their country during Eid al Fitr holidays. In such a situation, people can plan their travel according to the holidays.

Eid is one of the most important festivals of Muslims. People of the Muslim community all over the world celebrate Eid with great joy. Eid is celebrated on the first day of the Islamic calendar’s month of Shawwal. On the day of Eid, many special sweets are made in Muslim homes. After the month of Ramadan ends, when the moon of the next month i.e. Shawwal is seen. Therefore, it is also called Eid ka Chand. Due to the moon not being seen at the same time, Eid is celebrated a day earlier in one part of the world and a day later in another part. In Arabia, Eid usually happens a day before India and Pakistan.
