UAE on high alert, restrictions including Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, heavy rain

Abu Dhabi: Rain has started in the western regions of the UAE. Parks and mountain roads were closed, including in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Beaches will also be closed.

Fireworks are suspended at the Global Village. Abu Dhabi temple was also restricted. Flight passengers are also advised to be cautious. The Ministry of Labor has suggested that work from home should be allowed in the private sector if necessary. The weather warning is that heavy rain will continue till Sunday.

The UAE is on unprecedented alert. Rainfall is heavy in the western emirates. Orange alert in Al Ain and Nahil areas and Yellow alert in the rest of the areas. There is heavy rain and wind in Al Dafra and Al Ain. Heavy rain will also occur in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah are under rain alert. Parks were closed in various areas. Mountain roads are closed.
